Leh, Ladak, Manali road trip - 2014
There can not be anything more satisfying than Travelling India through all the states and trying to understand people and culture.
Ladak being our destination, we (4 of us) crossed Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharastra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Hariyana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir! Very interesting to see changing landscapes and ethnics!
Ghat section started little after Chandigarh and excited to touch the feet of Himalaya! We halted at Manali and Keylong before reaching Leh. Enjoyed the entire stretch of drive which had nothing but curves and valleys! Excited to see the snow mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes which we had read in books, touching apple trees, talking the shepherds and seeing Gompas and colorful flags. Must say that kids innocent faces are far more beautiful than those fresh apples :-)
All these quick sketches are made with 6x6 inch note book and filled color later at home!
