Rang de Rajasthan - 2012

After Rajasthan tour, we can say for sure that it must have been a royal state of India once upon a time. The royal palaces and vibrant colors will not go away from our mind for long long time. Delicious food would invite us back again and again.

With my CWC (Chennai Weekend Clickers) friends, I visited Jaipur, Pushkar, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for 8 days during 3rd week of Nov 2012. We had wonderful time together exploring Camel state of India.

Every where we planed for possible Sun rise and Sun set views. Awesome sun set moments at Jaisalmer desert sand dunes.

Pushkar experience was wonderful. Never saw so much of Camels and Horses together. Treat to see proud turban heads and colorful women. They were not just colorful; they were beautiful too!

The moment which I will remember for my life is 'Champa tea'. Champa lives at her beautiful hut under the small hill near Pushkar ground with her new born baby Lakshmi and her old mother. She has a goat too. She offered us a fresh tea milking from the goat. I've never tasted such a fresh and tasty tea. My taste buds will remember forever...

People in Rajasthan are very much beauty conscious. Especially women. I have not seen any one without eye liner and ornaments. Colorful dress is part of the culture. Red, pink and yellow dominate. For men length of turban cloth and mush is very important..

Every single house in the village is very clean and simple. Obviously beautiful. Water is available for public to drink in all the common places. (hmm.. i shall continue more in next part)
